Low cost courses funded by Smart & Skilled

Smart & Skilled courses are funded by the NSW Government and improve access to training for young people, job seekers, First Nations People, unpaid carers, women undertaking study in non-traditional trades and certain categories of visa holders.

First Base Training has been a contracted provider of Smart & Skilled qualifications since the funding program began in 2015. Our school has consistently been recognised by the NSW Department of Education as a High Scoring Provider based on student satisfaction, training relevance, employment benefits and other training provider performance indicators.

Low cost training places for 2024 is limited and is subject to:

  • availability of subsidised spots

  • course commencement between 1 July 2024 to 31 December 2024

  • meeting the student eligibility requirements

Who is eligible?

You may be able to study a government funded course if you are:

  • 15 years old or over

  • no longer at school

  • living or working in NSW

  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.
