This qualification reflects the role of workers in the community and/or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to assist people who may require person-centred support due to ageing, disability or some other reasons. Work involves using discretion and judgement in relation to individual support as well as taking responsibility for own outputs.
Providing care for older people in our community – those who have seen, heard and done so much – is one of the most rewarding career opportunities. Elderly individuals with experience and wisdom to pass on may find themselves vulnerable and in need of care from sensitive and compassionate helpers like yourself. This is why a course like First Base Training’s CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support course is so important. You will gain a mixture of theory and hands-on workplace learning, where you will further hone the knowledge and skills you develop in class. Work placement in an active nursing home, which First Base Training arranges for you, allows you to shape your existing attributes into a set of tools and abilities which can be used professionally.
