HLTAID004 – Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting

A short course which can provide a huge difference to your professional outlook

First Base Training’s HLTAID004 course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge needed to provide an emergency first aid response specifically in settings where infants and young children are especially at risk. In addition to the standard topics covered in first aid training, it also includes asthma and anaphylaxis management training. It is a nationally recognised accreditation.

The Australian Children’s Education and Care Authority regulations require all Educators and support staff working within an education and care setting to have this accreditation.

This is delivered as a one (1) day course including both theory and practical assessment, as well as demonstration of CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) performed on the floor.

HLTAID004 is automatically included in the course program for any First Base Training students who are studying any of our Early Childhood Education and Care qualifications. It is also available as a refresher course for any individual needing to renew their CPR, asthma and anaphylaxis emergency response skills.

When working with vulnerable members of the community, medical issues can  quickly become severe emergencies. Gain the confidence you need to assist a casualty and manage these emergencies, both in the home, and in the workplace. Enrol today.
